CDR

Crosstown Rebels are delighted to announce the birth of a brand new digital only label, CDR (Crosstown Digital Rebels). Created to showcase alternative versions of previously released tracks, experiments in sound and introductions to new artists and collaborators, this fresh platform will initially be exclusively available on Beatport.

CDR launches with two amazing future remixes of Jamie Jones' classic 'Panic' track, the young prodigy’s first release for the Rebels. The siren-loaded original has been re-worked by Hackney-based scientist Bass Clef to form a menacing dubstep take on the track out on November 24th.

The Final Stink at T Bar

THE FINAL STINK at T BAR
Damian Lazarus, Michael Mayer & Geddes
Monday 8th December
8pm-3am Free entry

As T Bar prepares to shut its doors for the last time we can announce the final reincarnation of Stink, the infamous Monday night session that brought the elite players of underground club music under one roof in East London.

Stink was born during an infamous after-hours involving two of techno leading figures, Damian Lazarus and Michael Mayer (label heads of Crosstown Rebels and Kompakt) and a poolside of guests that were subjected to their musical treats.

The monthly Monday parties brought together an ensemble of the label’s friends and family, welcomed global talents and new faces. A series of all-day bank holiday events witnessed queues from mid-afternoon, dress-up shenanigans and a room full of lost clubbers in the maze at our ‘Get Lost’ party.

After guests including Loco Dice, Matthew Dear, MANDY, Claude Von Stroke, DJ Koze, Superpitcher, Pier Bucci, Dinky, Clive Henry and Jamie Jones, the Final Session brings the two original culprits together to share their memories and say a final farewell. Support comes from Geddes, the man behind the capital's mulletover parties and inspiring murmur label.

Promising more surprise antics, magical moments and Tuesday blues… it’s time to Stink one last time!

Derrick Carter RA podcast

Classic Records

The Classic Music Company was started by Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon in 1994 and became the chief of quality house music output for the latter half of the decade. Starting the catalogue numbers at 100 they worked their way backwards until they reached zero picking up some of the decade's best-loved records along the way. Classic was then sadly stopped dead in its tracks when it reached that goal.

Now for the next chapter… Classic is reborn into the digital world, introducing a string of new releases in which the back catalogue is reworked and remixed by the new generation of electronic producers.

Luke Solomon and label manager Leon Oakey recently hosted a radio show on DieselUMusic station.
